The term cori spezzati (“split choirs”) was used to describe polychoral singing in Venice in the later 16th century. Conductor Robert Duff and the Brandeis Chamber Singers examine this genre -- works by Andrea Gabrieli, Heinrich Schutz, Claudio Monteverdi and Adrian Willaert.
