Abstract
I designed and led a two-week winter intensive for the online platform Tonebase. I guided violin student participants in how to compose and improvise bass lines for (fast) movements of solo Bach and Telemann, highlighting the importance of understanding implied bass lines and the value of creating them ourselves. I uploaded the syllabus within the files. Students watched videos I prepared and then submitted videos of their own; I replied to each submission with a video containing detailed comments and demonstrations. I was delighted with the results and bass lines people created.
