Abstract
This final chapter reflects on the potential future of grassroots climate activism, emphasising activist agency and a co-creative approach to building the capabilities of multiple actors. The authors conclude that grassroots climate activism will thrive by taking a holistic approach to engagement so that it is not just confined to specific individuals or teams; having a strong sense of place and recognising the extent to which its location helps to form its unique identity and purpose; holding a clear activist sense of purpose, and understanding not just what activism is good at, but what it is good for; being willing to invest in people and resources in order to have impact; and a commitment to accountability to community, the public, and the world at large.
