Abstract

Voltage Step Postsynaptic Response Transient Current Transient Component Synaptic Transmission
Graded synaptic transmission plays an important role in both invertebrate and vertebrate systems. Models that describe graded synaptic transmission can be valuable tools to understand network dynamics. Few studies have previously attempted to develop such models (De Schutter et al., 1993). In this paper, we present a model for graded synaptic transmission that relies on simplifying (and experimentally justified) assumptions and requires few experimental measurements.
