Abstract
Prior research has shown association between post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and drug overdose. Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are known risk factors for PTSD in adults; however, less is known about the interaction between ACEs, PTSD, and overdose. Further, studies examining the relationship between trauma and overdose rarely focus separately on Latinx persons. We examined the relationship between ACEs, PTSD, and lifetime experience of overdose in a sample of primarily Latinx adults seeking treatment for substance use disorder (SUD).
