Abstract

Russian language -- Study and teaching Heritage language speakers Education Russian Language or Literature
This panel will consider the special case and challenge of teaching Slavic languages (Russian and Ukrainian) to heritage learners. Using data from these learners’ interlanguage in comparison with L2 development in foreign language learners, the papers will suggest specific pedagogical approaches to teaching various aspects of Slavic grammar to the heritage learner population.
