Abstract
This data contains TEM images, measurements, code, and results related to the publication “Taming the polymorphism of tubule self-assembly using templated growth” (https://arxiv.org/abs/2511.02975). In this work, we demonstrate that templated growth is a pathway to target different tubule diameters using the same monomer pool.
We provide data related to plots shown in Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4B, Figure S5, and Figure S6.
For Fig. 2, Fig. S5, and Fig. S6, the TEM images are in the zip files: ‘fig2_phase_diagram_unseeded.zip’, ‘fig2_phase_diagram_1to10.zip’, ‘fig2_phase_diagram_1to20.zip’, ‘fig2_phase_diagram_1to30.zip’, ‘fig2_phase_diagram_1to40.zip’, ‘fig2_phase_diagram_1to50.zip’, and ‘fig2_phase_diagram_1to100.zip’.
In those zip files, the labels “unseeded”, “1to100”, “1to50”, “1to40”, “1to30”, “1to20”, and “1to10” correspond to the reported seed concentrations of 0, 0.83, 1.67, 2.09, 2.76, 4.18, and 8.35 pM shown in Figure 2, Figure S5, and Figure S6. The measurements, results, and the code used to generate those figures are stored in ‘fig2_phase_diagram_measurement.zip’, and ‘fig2_phase_diagram_code and result.zip’.
For Fig. 3B-E, and Fig. S3, the TEM images of multispecies seeds are in the zip files: ‘(1,0)PU seed_10nM_M20_9days_14000X.zip’, ‘(3,0)PU_seed_30nM_M20_4days_8900x.zip’, ‘(4,0)PU_seed_30nM_M20_7days_8900x.zip’, ‘(7,0)PU_seed_30nM_M20_4days_multiple_mag.zip’.
Zip files ‘figure3_untemplated tubule_blp_gr_0_10nM_M20_36c_13days_8900X.zip’, ‘figure3_(1,0)PU tubule_blp_sgr_1to30_10nM_M20_37c_13days_8900X .zip’, ‘figure3_(3,0)PU tubule_blp_sgr_1to30_10nM_M20_37c_14days_8900x.zip’, ‘figure3_(4,0)PU tubule_blp_sgr_1to30_10nM_M20_37c_14days_8900x.zip’, and ‘figure3_(7,0)PU tubule_blp_sgr_1to30_10nM_M20_37c_14days_8900x.zip’ are the TEM images of untemplated tubules and the templated tubule assembled from those multispecies seeds.
The file ‘figure3_measurement_and_code.zip’ includes all the measurements and code used to generate Figure 3B-E and Figure S3.
‘TEM_Figure S3 A and B.zip’ includes TEM images used to create Fig. S3A and B, aside from those in Figure 3.
For Figure 4B, the zip file ‘UV_purified_(7,0)seed.zip’ includes the TEM images of seeds purified from the (7,0) band and seed types determined by inspection.
