Abstract
“(somewhere) in between” involves three characters, including a main character and two side characters portrayed by the bass flute, bass clarinet and electric guitar accordingly. Because the two side characters do not evolve so much in terms of their sound world, the focus is then turned to the bass flute, who goes through a journey of imitations of the other two characters.
