Abstract
The title compound, C8H8N2S, was crystallized from heptane with a minimal amount of toluene. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N—H...N and N—H...S hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure viewed down the b axis shows the molecules packed in a bilayer fashion, with alternating hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions.
