Abstract

Catalysis Catalysts: preparations and properties Chemical Reactions Computer Simulation or Modeling Dynamical Systems Oscillations
A mechanism consisting of 13 elementary steps is proposed for the reaction of iodate, sulfite, and ferrocyanide. Computer simulations with the mechanism give excellent agreement with experimental observations of the batch behavior of both the component Landolt (iodate-sulfite) and the full system and with the bistability and oscillation found with the full system in a stirred tank reactor.
