Abstract
1. The oxygen-binding capacity of Boltenia ovifera blood was investigated; within experimental error, no evidence of O2 binding was found.
2.
2. Metal ion analysis of whole blood, serum and cells showed high concentrations of iron, zinc and manganese in addition to other trace metals.
3.
3. Tunichrome extracted from the blood showed an absorption peak at 335 nm. consistent with the absorption spectrum of tunichrome from other species.
