Abstract

A simple method has been developed for the cultivation of colonies of Cordylophora lacustris. The colonies, attached to microscope slides slanted in beakers, are grown in a culture solution containing five required ions. Artemia larvae are supplied as food. Increase in hydranth number is exponential with a doubling time of about 3 days.
