Abstract
Kaganoff has left a wealth of bibliographic information on the history of Judaic books published in America. His Judaica Americana chronicled all new scholarly works since 1962. The 'Jewish Book Annual' carried his compilations of all Hebrew books produced in the US. He constantly unearthed new volumes and expanded existing fields of research. He was, in sum, one of the greatest Jewish bibliographers since Shabbetai ben Joseph Bass created the field in 1680.
