Abstract
The solid state phase behavior of hydroquinone
with bis-(N,N-diethyl)bicyclo[2.2.2]octane-1,4-dicarboxamide (
) and with bis-(N,N-dimethyl)bicyclo[2.2.2]octane-1,4-dicarboxamide (
) has been investigated. A 1:1 complex,
, exists with hydroquinone and the diethyl derivative
. A 1:2 complex,
, and a 2:1 complex,
, is formed with hydroquinone and the dimethyl derivative,
. X-ray structure determinations of these cocrystals have been performed and the role of the alkyl side chains in the crystal packing is discussed.
