Abstract
Oxidative cyclization of 6,t- and <,f-unsaturated enol silyl ethers of aryl ketones with cupric triflate and cuprous oxide or ceric ammonium nitrate and sodium bicarbonate in acetonitrile provides tricyclic ketones stereoselectively.
