Abstract
The Pt-Co/C catalysts were prepared by liquid deposition and high temperature alloying method. The EDS and XRD analyses indicated that Pt and Pt-Co have fcc structure, with small particle size and high dispersity. The Co addition shortened the length of Pt-Pt bond. The performances of the catalysts in PEMFC were tested. The results showed the Pt-Co/C catalysts have better performance than pure platinum supported on carbon. The high catalytic activity of the Co addition were discussed in this paper.
