Abstract

In this paper, we study spectra of spontaneous emission in a semiconductor quantum well which is driven by a controlling field and a driving field. Under the quantum coherent manipulation, we analyze the properties of emission spectra and our results show the spectra can present some novel physical phenomena, such as narrowing, fluorescence quenching, suppression and enhancement. Semiconductor medium, being artificial atom, has great potential applications in some fields.
