Abstract
The ensemble will perform five pieces, including the debut of a new composition for piano, violin and percussion by Yu-Hui Chang, Dinosaur Annex's co-artistic director. The piece, titled "In Thin Air," seeks to capture the feeling of unfulfillment by never reaching a satisfying musical climax, said Chang during a phone interview. The group will also perform "Boston Fancies" by the Pulitzer Prize-winning Steven Stucky, "The Harmony of the Body-Machine" by Annie Gosfield and "Luna Rugosa" -- literally translated, "Wrinkled Moon" in Italian -- by Daniel S. Godfrey, composer-in-residence and professor at SU.
