Abstract
Our 2018 Founder’s Day Concert in honor of Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge features two adventurous new music ensembles who fearlessly explore repertoire for their unique combinations. The TAK Ensemble is a quintet of voice, flute, clarinet, violin and percussion that is always on the lookout for new compositional voices. The Quince Ensemble is a vocal quartet that commissions feverishly; their performance will feature the world premieres of several new works, including a collection of Guthrie-inspired songs. This is music by composers largely new to the Coolidge Auditorium—come celebrate with us!
