Abstract
In this this special episode of the podcast "Zionism in Discomfort". In the conversation, I discussed Mizrahi Jews, indigenous to Palestine/Eretz Yisrael, and the distinct cultural and political model they embodied—one that challenged and offered an alternative to European Zionism. We discussed Arabic as a native language, life in mixed cities, the tension between local identity and national identity, and the deepening rift between native Jews and the European Zionist movement.
