Abstract
This report examines the long-term impact of the Break New Ground (BNG) Jewish service learning initiative sponsored by UJA Federation of New York. The initial evaluation documented a short-term positive impact on participants’ civic responsibility and Jewish perspective on service. The follow-up research explores the enduring impact of BNG on alumni attitudes, intentions, and commitments one year after their service experience. The research relied on qualitative and quantitative data through focus groups and online surveys of alumni.
