Abstract
Chairman Stuart Altman welcomed the conference participants to the 27th Princeton Conference and
thanked the generous sponsors. The Princeton Conference started in 1994 by Uwe and May Reinhardt to
provide analysis into the Clinton Health Reform Plan. The conference was taken over by Stuart Altman and
the Council for Health Care Economics and Policy with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Altman continues to run the conference with a broad group of advisors and a diversified group of sponsors.
