Abstract
A quality health care workforce is vital to the well being of New Hampshire’s economy and the state’s aging population.
In coming years, the success of hospitals, community health centers, nursing homes, and other health care organizations
will depend largely on their ability to hire and retain skilled employees who can deliver quality care to all. This will
increasingly require a new focus on issues related to diversity. To ensure success, health care providers will be looking to
hire well-trained, culturally competent, and diverse professionals for two primary reasons.
