Abstract
The 2025 Study of Jewish ATX provides a snapshot of today’s Jewish population in Greater Austin as the first-ever demographic study of the Jewish community. This study is based on an analysis of a rich set of data collected from 1,762 eligible households between August and November 2025. Greater Austin includes approximately 62,400 Jewish individuals living in 39,600 households, representing 2.5% of the area’s population. Among the community’s unique characteristics is how relatively new to the area so many Jews are; 44% of Jewish adults have lived in Greater Austin for less than one decade, while just 10% were raised locally. Tied to the exponential growth in population is the geographic spread of where Jews live. While 13% of Jewish households live in the Central-West region (in closest proximity to the Dell Jewish Community Campus), 20% of households—containing 28% of Jewish children—live in the North region (primarily Williamson County).
