Abstract
This course is the fourth course in the language sequence in which students are engaged in learning about the linguistic, cultural, and historical components that are essential for advancing in Hebrew language. This course is composed through the connection to the state of Israel, in which Hebrew is the formal language. Connection is an essential standard for learning foriegn language according to 1ACTFL. It will unpack and explore the founders of the state of israel from various perspectives, and historical places, prominent people, art, photography, literature, poetry, films, and songs in the language that is spoken and written today. In this course, students gain competence *in communication skills, greater sophistication and complexity of expression, and an understanding of psycholinguistic appropriateness. They expand their repertoire to include a broader range of conversation topics and tasks pertaining to Israel history, culture, places and people.
