Abstract
The main goal of the course is to make student familiar with the image of Israel in literature and movies in purpose to break down the existing stereotypes and change the fixed image of the Jews, usually perceived through 19th (traditional) point of view or Holocaust’s (victims) perspective. It would be important to show the beginning of the country, 6-day war that had also impact on antisemitic campain in Poland in March 1968. The Israeli society would be presented through the eye of literature that always deal with humans problems, universal dilemmas, but also settle plot in particular historical, sociological, ideological circumstances. The diversity of Israeli society will be presented from the orthodox Jews: Sephardi, Mizrachi and Askhenazi point of view through secular, also women and LGBT voices.
