Abstract
Using a seminar format with numerous discussions
required of students, this course examines the development and flowering of
multiculturalism in Israel. Students will study the theoretical foundations of
multiculturalism and situate it in the context of the Israeli society. Israeli social
structure, varieties of Zionism, and Israeli culture and the arts will be explored as
representing multiculturalism.
