Abstract
In biomedically dominant cultures, anything that goes against the medical norm struggles to be properly implemented. This is especially true with cancer treatments due to their highly rigid structure. Complementary and alternative medicine is one such example. Even more interestingly, there seems to be a gap between how scholars view CAMs implementation and how those on the ground working within medical facilities view CAM's role. This paper aims to explore this information gap through qualitative research to understand how CAM fits into cancer care from the perspectives of patients, medical professionals, and practitioners who administer CAM.
