Scholarship and Biography
Swingle is interested in the quantum physics of information, especially in the context of many-body systems, quantum field theory, and quantum gravity. His group combines principled computational approaches with analytically tractable models to study a wide variety of phenomena through the lens of quantum information. Recent topics include many-body quantum chaos and its relation to information scrambling, the emergence of spacetime and gravity from entanglement and complexity, and the possibility of simulating quantum gravity in the lab using quantum computers.
