Scholarship and Biography

I have always been interested in the intersection of biology and chemistry. I received my PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry and have research experience in protein biochemistry, cell biology as well as small-molecule organic synthesis. I currently share my fascination for biochemistry, in particular, and science, in general, by teaching. I teach introductory biochemistry, a biochemistry laboratory course, and electives that focus on disease mechanisms at the molecular level. I strive to have an engaging and challenging classroom experience for all of my students.
