Scholarship and Biography

Hassan Jafri is a multi-disciplinary professional leveraging his background in Data Science, Finance and Technology to assist clients devise, build and deploy solutions for investment management, risk management and economic forecasting. He currently provides consulting services to family offices and various buy-side firms and also manages model portfolios targeting various risk and return profiles.


Before his current role, he co-founded and acted as the Principal Strategist at a “long volatility” hedge fund called DGamma Capital, which aimed to protect investors against economic shocks and significant market downturns. In addition, Hassan is a veteran of various Boston area start-ups, including Cloud FastPath (acquired by Box), and a faculty member at Brandeis University Fintech graduate program. He also provide professional training in Data Science & Analytics on behalf of Herndon based Learning Tree International.


Mr. Jafri received Bachelors in Computer Sciences with Special Honors (2002) at The University of Texas at Austin (2002) and Masters in Statistics (2009) at Columbia University.
