My research focuses on investigating the role of internal components of kanji (Chinese characters imported into Japanese orthography) in vocabulary learning among learners with an alphabetic language background. Additionally, I am interested in various reading strategies, exploring Japanese language teachers' thoughts and practices in teaching kanji, and identifying the underlying factors in kanji acquisition.
