Scholarship and Biography

Jill Greenlee is the Max Richter Professor of Politics and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies at Brandeis University. Her scholarship investigates how life cycle events, life stages, and childhood shape the political attitudes and behaviors of individuals. More specifically, she studies how parenthood and caregiving responsibilities shape the political attitudes and engagement of individuals. She also studies the development of children's political attitudes, focusing on partisanship, attitudes toward political leaders and institutions, and gender differences in political interest.

Professor Greenlee has published work in journals such as Political Psychology, Politics and Gender, P.S. Political Science and Politics, Politics, Groups and Identities, Public Opinion Quarterly, Political Communication, American Political Science Review, and Political Behavior. She teaches courses in American Politics, Gender and Politics, and Political Behavior.
