Scholarship and Biography

Laurin Bixby studies how structural ableism impacts disabled people through a variety of systems, such as healthcare, long-term services and supports, housing, transportation, and incarceration. Through her research, she aims to inform policy changes that advance Disability Justice by ending systems of harm and ensuring the full integration of disabled people in their communities.
