Scholarship and Biography

Melissa Stimell is a Professor of the Practice in the Legal Studies Program at Brandeis University. She serves as the director of ENACT: The Abraham Feinberg Educational Network for Active Civic Transformation. She also has served as the chair of the Program in Social Justice and Social Policy and as its internship director. She served as the director of the International Center for Ethics, Justice and Public Life. She coordinated and taught Brandeis Summer in The Hague. She served as the internship director for the Legal Studies Program. She is an attorney and has represented clients in the areas of child welfare, criminal law, juvenile justice, and disability law.
