Scholarship and Biography

Vera is a former Partner and Portfolio Manager at Wellington Management Company LLP, where she launched what became a suite of global emerging markets strategies. For over two decades, she led Wellington's emerging markets equity team and managed global emerging markets equity portfolios on behalf of institutional clients worldwide. She is Vice Chair of the 20-20 Investment Association, a group of economically powerful institutional investors focused on exploring investment opportunities in emerging and frontier markets.

Vera holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and serves on several Investment Advisory Boards. She is a member of the Boston Committee on Foreign Relations and the New York-based Council on Foreign Relations.
