Scholarship and Biography
In retirement Walter and his partner Betsy founded Waltham Connections for Healthy Aging, a community organization led by older adults working in partnership with community agencies to promote healthy aging in Waltham. Since 2017 more than $400,000 has been raised to support inclusion of low-income and immigrant seniors in services and activities, civic engagement, intergenerational activities, food pantries in public housing, and free Chromebooks, training and wifi to Waltham seniors who cannot afford them.
