Abstract
This interview-based study explores how American Jewish college students responded to the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023, the Israel-Gaza war, and the shifting climate on U.S. campuses. We examine how students made meaning during a time of profound social, political, and emotional disruption. While recent quantitative studies have captured large-scale trends in Jewish student behavior and belief, our approach focuses on individual experiences—how students navigated internal conflict, shifting relationships, and personal identity in real time.
