Scholarship and Biography

The Goode Lab studies how cells build and modify their internal scaffolding (the cytoskeleton), discovering key proteins that orchestrate this process and revealing how their malfunction contributes to diseases like colorectal cancer, kidney disease, and neurological disorders such as ALS. Our research illuminates the fundamental architecture that gives cells their shape and allows them to move and divide properly, offering new avenues for therapeutic interventions targeting cytoskeletal abnormalities in human disease.
