Black Pond Studios Workshop, 09/17/2024–10/29/2024, virtual
This interdisciplinary, team-taught workshop will bring together the practice of studio art and the study of Russian literature. Working in a range of media (drawing, painting, and digital), participants will use Russian fiction (and some critical theory) as source material for the creation of visual images. Readings will include short texts of Gogol, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Chekhov, Babel, and Nabokov.
