Scholarship and Biography

Integrating microfluidics, nonlinear chemical dynamics, active-matter physics, de novo protein and DNA-origami self-assembly, my group engineers synthetic neural-muscle networks, confined active nematics, high-throughput protein-crystallization platforms, rapid thermoplastic microfluidic prototyping, and programmable icosahedral virus-like capsids. We combine experiment, dynamical-systems modeling, and colloidal engineering to reveal and harness mesoscale nonequilibrium phenomena.
