Scholarship and Biography
Zachary Albert is an assistant professor in Politics at Brandeis University. He received his PhD in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and his BA in Politics from Fairfield University.
Professor Albert's research and teaching focus on political campaigns and public policymaking, especially through the lens of political parties and in an era of increased partisan polarization. He is the author of Partisan Policy Networks: How Research Organizations Became Party Allies and Political Advocates, which is forthcoming with the University of Pennsylvania Press. The book examines the impact of partisan polarization on policy research efforts by interest groups and think tanks. He is also co-author of Small Donors in the US: Myth and Reality, forthcoming with the University of Chicago Press, which investigates the positive and negative aspects of small donor involvement in American campaigns. His work has been published in journals such as American Politics Research, Political Research Quarterly, Party Politics, Political Behavior, and Interest Groups & Advocacy.
